Valentino

Project Valentino holds the architectural character of the home and the everyday life of a family with two children. Warm wood cabinetry balances practical storage with room for objects to be seen and enjoyed. At the heart of the composition, an original fireplace finds a new purpose as the kitchen hood. Its presence carries the history of the home into the daily rituals of cooking, giving the room a distinctive focal point. We sought to let this existing character guide a kitchen that feels warm, considered and easy to live in.

Our client wanted a place to cook while remaining part of her children’s world—to prepare a meal, follow their play and share the small moments that unfold throughout the day. That desire for connection shaped our approach, bringing the working kitchen into conversation with the surrounding family space. The generous window draws daylight and garden views across the counters, while the wood tones and softly textured finishes lend warmth to the room. The former fireplace anchors these gestures, preserving its role as a gathering point in a new way. The result is a kitchen where preparing food and spending time together belong to the same daily rhythm.
