Who we are and how to contact us
DOUN Interior Design Studio operates this website. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, withdrawal of consent, or complaints, write to the Privacy Officer, DOUN Interior Design Studio, 8106 Bd Décarie, Montréal, QC H4P 2S8, Canada. Please describe your request and provide a way for us to reply. We may need to verify your identity before providing personal information.
Operating the website
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and serves its photographs. Requests include technical information such as your IP address, browser information and requested URL. We use this information to deliver pages and protect the service. A language cookie remembers your language, and session storage supports the introduction and page transitions. These functions do not require optional analytics or advertising cookies.
Your optional choices
Analytics and advertising are separate, optional choices. Both remain off until you allow them. Choose Details to select either category, Accept all, or Reject all. Use Privacy choices at any time to change or withdraw consent. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track by keeping optional tracking off. Your saved choice expires after 180 days. Changes to providers or purposes can require a new choice.
Analytics
If you allow analytics, Cloudflare Zaraz loads Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Google Analytics measures visits, project views and clicks on appointment or social links. Microsoft Clarity uses session recordings and heatmaps to help us understand page interactions. These services receive browsing events, online identifiers and device information. Clarity advertising storage is denied, and Google advertising audiences are disabled. We do not intentionally send your name, email, phone number or booking details to these tools.
We filter the URLs and referrers passed through Zaraz: only registered campaign labels are retained, external referrers are reduced to their origin, and arbitrary query values and ad-click identifiers are removed. Google Analytics is configured to hide the originating IP address. Browser-based services still receive connection information when their scripts load.
Advertising
If you allow advertising, Zaraz loads Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram, the Pinterest tag and LinkedIn Insight Tag. These providers receive page visits, online identifiers and device information, and may associate activity with their accounts for reporting, personalization and retargeting under their own policies. Meta also receives project views and appointment-link clicks. Enhanced matching and server-side Conversions API integrations are not enabled. An appointment click indicates interest and is not a confirmed booking.
Appointments and enquiries
The appointment link opens DOUN's booking service at book.doun.ca. The form asks for your name, email address, phone number and reason for the meeting; referral source and project type are optional. DOUN uses this information to arrange the consultation and manage any resulting project. Cloudflare hosts the booking service and sends verification codes, invitations, reminders and change notices. Google Calendar checks the studio's availability and stores appointment events, with Google Meet links for online consultations. You can reschedule or cancel using the links in your booking email. Booking details are not automatically forwarded to the website's analytics or advertising services.
Newsletter signup
If you request our newsletter, we store your email address, website language, request time and consent version in private Cloudflare storage. Cloudflare sends an English confirmation email from info@doun.ca. The confirmation link expires after 48 hours; your subscription becomes confirmed only after you use it and confirm on the page. The studio receives a notification of confirmed subscriptions. Newsletter and signup emails are in English. You can unsubscribe or withdraw your request using the link in your signup email. We retain your subscription status and relevant consent timestamps to record your choice. Signup details are separate from appointments and are not sent to analytics or advertising tools. Newsletter campaigns are not yet connected. To request deletion, contact the Privacy Officer at the address above.
Retention and providers
Website consent choices are stored for up to 180 days. Google Analytics user and event retention are set to two months without resetting the period on new activity; aggregated reporting can remain available longer. Microsoft Clarity and advertising providers apply their own storage and retention terms, linked below. Enquiry and project information is kept for the purpose of handling your request, the resulting business relationship and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact the Privacy Officer for information about a particular record or to request deletion, subject to applicable requirements.
Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Pinterest and LinkedIn may process information outside Québec and Canada, where different laws may apply. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking on this website and clears relevant first-party cookies; it does not automatically delete information already received by providers. You can contact us and use the provider privacy controls for information already collected.
Policy changes
We update this page when website practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes to optional tracking require renewed consent.
